Maddington Fire and Rescue
As part of their ‘Health’ studies, all the Year 3 classes attended a 60 minute incursion with the Maddington Fire and Rescue Service. Students first listened to a presentation about different fire types, evacuation procedures and general fire safety advice. This was followed by a tour of the big fire engine and the smaller support vehicle. The spraying of water using a large hose proved very exciting. This is an annual event for the year 3 classes as part of the DFES (Department of Fire and Emergency Services) community education program.
