Harmony Week celebrations have become a fixture in our school’s calendar over the last few years. This year, the students in years 3 to 6 were entertained with a fabulous assembly item performed by Mrs Rodrick’s year 4 class, which highlighted the many cultural backgrounds that our school’s students have connections with. A whole school follow-up activity saw students from Kindy to Year 4 running around on the oval, flying Harmony Kites that they had made. They were all so colourful and varied! What a sight, with nearly 500 students running around on our oval and basketball courts flying their kites which were made in class. This year marked the 15th anniversary of Harmony Day, a day in which we celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity.
