On 15th November, the Forest Crescent Primary choir was invited to perform at Maddington Central to help Kmart open their Christmas Tree Presents for Children Program. The Christmas Tree Program is where Kmart shoppers purchase a Christmas gift for children who don’t get presents due to their unfortunate circumstances. The choir sang Christmas songs, ” Christmas Funk”, “Hark The Herald Angels”, “Jingle Bells” and “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” to name just a few. When the choir arrived they set up all the microphones and got started, with Ms Smith introducing the choir to the passing shoppers. Halfway through the choir’s recital, Olaf the Snowman, Santa Claus and his helpers arrived. The Kmart representative thanked the choir and spoke to the audience about what the Christmas Tree program was all about. As a thank you all the choir students received a small present and lolly bag from Kmart.
