SUMMARY:NAPLAN 2026 Testing Window
DESCRIPTION:The following information is for parents/guardians with a child in Year 3 or Year 5. Students will be sitting NAPLAN 2026 starting in Term 1- Week 6\, Wednesday\, 11th March\, with the NAPLAN window open until Week 8\, Monday\, 23rd March. In consultation with the school\, students whose parents have applied for withdrawal will not be sitting for all or some of the NAPLAN assessments. Confirmation of your child’s withdrawal will be sent to the parent’s email address or made by phone. \nNAPLAN assessments are scheduled in a specific order and held in the Library with a dedicated LAN network. \nMore information for parents about NAPLAN is below. However\, all parents should have received a hard copy of “NAPLAN Online: Information for parents and carers” by Week 3. You can download it here if you didn’t receive it or misplaced your document. In addition\, please take the time to read the information below\, most of which is taken from the NAPLAN website. You can also access these documents via the following links. \nNAPLAN 2026 Parent Information Brochure \nBelow is the mandated NAPLAN assessment sequence. The school’s NAPLAN schedule for individual classes will be posted closer to NAPLAN week. \n \nDownload the above test window infographic. \nNAPLAN Online test window\nThe NAPLAN Online test window is nine days. Day 1 is a Wednesday (11th March)\, and Day 9 is the Monday of the third week of NAPLAN (23rd March) \nThe Year 3 writing test must be completed within four days\, the Year 5 writing test within two days\, and schools must schedule writing from the first day of the appropriate two-day test window. For Year 5\, the writing window is Days 1 and 2. \nThe tests need to be taken in a specific order. \nFor Years 3 and 5\, the online test sequence is as follows: \n\nWriting (paper for Year 3 only)\nReading\nConventions of language (spelling\, grammar and punctuation)\nNumeracy.

SUMMARY:Colour Run 2026
DESCRIPTION:Colour Run\nDear Parents and Caregivers\, \nAs you know\, Forest Crescent Primary School is again holding a fun run for the students as our major fundraiser this year. \nThis event will take place on Friday\, March 20th\, starting at 1:10 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend and watch. \n\nWhite shirt = water and colour will be sprayed\nBlack shirt = NO colour/water purposefully sprayed on child\nPlease speak with your teacher if you do not want your child to participate.\n\nAny clothes/shoes students wear for the run will be wet/coloured -send a towel/spare clothes as needed for your child. Little ones will be in their wet clothes till the bell\, so parents can assist if they wish to have them changed. \nEach student will also receive a pair of sunglasses. \nStudents will be covered in non-toxic\, biodegradable colour powder \nWe look forward to seeing the bright and colourful students on the day of our Colour Fun Run! \nChanged lunch with all Pre-primary to Year 6 students participating at different times in the afternoon. \nTIMES \nLunchtime\nYr 5/6 – Early lunch from 12:45pm. Students will be supervised while eating lunch from 12:45pm-1:00pm (students can change during this time). Afterwards\, the Year 5 & 6 students will be in the undercover area for a movie and activities. \nYrs 3/4  Lunch break for 3 -4 students. Lunch supervision 1.05pm – 1.20 pm. Students can then get changed. Lunch Play 1.20 – 1.40. The lunch siren will go slightly earlier at 1.40pm. Students line up at the entrance to the oval in class groups from 1.40 pm. \nYrs P/ 1 /2 – Lunch break for P / 1/ 2 students. Lunch supervision 1.05pm – 1.20 pm. Lunch Play 1.20 – 1.40. The lunch siren will go slightly earlier at 1.40pm. 1.40pm Back to class  – Students can then get changed \nRun times are:\n\nYears 5 and 6 – 1:10pm- 1:40pm Run\nYears 2\, 3 and 4 – 1:45pm- 2:15pm Run\nYears PP and 1 – 2:25pm-2:50pm Run\n\nGlasses \n\nColour glasses will be provided to class teachers before coming down.\nThere are no headbands this year.\nSpare glasses will be available if needed.\n\nIcy Poles \n\nThe P&C will provide an icy pole for students after the run.\nThese are fruit-based and will be given to class teachers to distribute back in class.\nParents will notify teachers if their child needs to opt out.\n\nOval Access \n\nThe oval will be out of bounds after recess to allow for event set-up.\nThere will be no student access to the oval at lunchtime.\n\nAfter the Run \nYear 5/6 \n\nStudents will return to the undercover area as they are the first group running.\n\nYear 2/3/4 \n\nClasses will gather in a designated area after completing the run.\n\nStudent Preparation \nStudents should: \n\nBring a towel\nWear a white shirt if they would like colour/water\nWear a black shirt if they prefer not to be sprayed intentionally (although some overspray may still occur)\n\nStudents Not Participating \nStudents who do not wish to participate will have access to giant games in a separate area away from the running track.
