DESCRIPTION:Primary Extension and Challenge (PEAC) is a part-time supplementary program for students in Years 5 and 6. Students are identified as suited to participation in the PEAC Program through testing in Year 4. Forest Crescent Year 4 students will participate in testing\, hosted by the classroom teacher on Monday\, 4th August to Wednesday\, 6th August. \nAll public school students in Year 4 are provided with the opportunity to be assessed for suitability for the PEAC program. Parents may request that their child be excluded from the testing process by notifying the school in writing. \nThe PEAC selection test consists of two sections:\nVerbal Reasoning (VR)\, comprised of 25 multiple-choice items and two item types: \nReading Comprehension and Reasoning by Analogy. \nMathematical Reasoning (MR)\, comprised of 25 multiple-choice items of two item types: Mathematical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning. \nIt is important to make fair and consistent interpretations of the data. DESCRIPTION:UPDATED STARTING AT 9:45am (Changed times from original post) \nForest Crescent Primary is competing in the Interschool Cross Country. \nDate: Monday\, 11th August 2025 \nSchools: Campbell\, Forest Crescent\, Piara Waters\, Harrisdale\, Aspiri\, Southern Grove \nVenue: Homestead Park\, Corner of Connemara Drive and Glenbrook Rd\, Thornlie. \nEvent Times: These are approximate event times\, and presentations will be at 12:05pm \n\nYr 3 Girls 9:45am\nYr 3 Boys 10:00am\nYr 4 Girls 10:15am\nYr 4 Boys 10:30am\nYr 5 Girls 10:45am\nYr 5 Boys 11:00am\nYr 6 Girls 11:15am\nYr 6 Boys 11:30am\n\nThe events are scheduled to commence at 9:45a.m.\, beginning with the Year 3 girls and each subsequent race starting 15 minutes later\, concluding with the Year 6 boys at 11:30 a.m. Presentations begin at approximately 12:05pm. The Year 3 children run 900m\, the Year 4/5 children run 1400m\, and the Year 6 children run 1600m. \nThe children will be travelling by bus\, leaving from school at approximately 9:00am. The cost is $7.00. \nAs the children are representing the school\, all children are required to wear the school interschool shirt\, which will be issued at the school\, and wear running shoes. SUMMARY:Year 3 Scitech Excursion
DESCRIPTION:The Year 3 students in rooms 22\, 23\, 24\, and 25 will have the opportunity to go on an excursion to Scitech in Week 4 of this term.  During the excursion\, students will have the opportunity to watch Science come alive through interactive demonstrations\, view a show in the Planetarium\, and have facilitated access to the feature exhibition. They will also have the chance to explore science concepts independently during free time in the general exhibition section. \nThe students will visit Scitech on Wednesday\, 13th August 2025. The bus will be leaving school by 8:45am\, and students will return to school at approximately 3:00pm. \nThe students will need to come dressed in school uniform (no faction shirts) and closed shoes. They will also need to bring a bottle of water\, recess and lunch. \nThe cost of the excursion is $27.00.
