DESCRIPTION:In Year 6\, as a part of our Health program\, we have been studying nutrition and the impact that poor eating choices have on our body\, particularly junk food. One of the tasks in this unit is for students to compare a junk food item to a healthier and more nutritious version. \nYear 6 teachers will compare a McDonald’s cheeseburger to a homemade hamburger. We will make the hamburgers with them at school for lunch on Wednesday\, April 2nd. An informational letter will be forthcoming.

SUMMARY:Interschool Summer Cup 2025
DESCRIPTION:DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED. Students will be selected to represent the school at the Vale Sports Association Summer Cup Carnival. It will be held on Tuesday 8th April\, 2025. \nThe venues are: \n\nBasketball – Willetton Basketball Centre (Burrendah Blvd Willetton)\nVolleyball – Burrendah Park\, Pinetree Gully Road\, Willetton\nCricket – Burrendah Park\, Pinetree Gully Rd\, Willetton\nSofcrosse – Burrendah Park\, Pinetree Gully Rd\, Willetton\nFrisbee – Burrendah Park\, Pinetree Gully Rd\, Willetton\n\nThere will be three buses providing transport for the carnival. \n\nThe volleyball team will leave at 8:20am.\nThe two buses for basketball\, frisbee\, cricket and sof-crosse will be leaving Forest Crescent at approximately 8:20am\, and all will return before the end of the school day.\n\nYour child must wear the school uniform shorts/ skorts/skirts (no black shorts)\, bring a drink\, a hat\, sunscreen\, suitable footwear\, and lunch and morning recess. Students will be provided with an interschool shirt or singlet (Basketball). It is essential your child is at school by 8:00am to get their shirt signed out. They must also be returned at the end of the day\, as they are not to go home with students.  Each family signing out shirts is responsible for their safe return or is required to cover the replacement costs of $40. Students are not permitted to use coloured zinc. \nAll venues plan to start by 9:20 am. There is a code of conduct for students and parents.
