DESCRIPTION:Forest Crescent Primary is competing in the Interschool Cross Country. \nDate: Friday\, 14th August 2026 \nSchools: Campbell\, Forest Crescent\, Piara Waters\, Harrisdale\, Aspiri\, Southern Grove \nVenue: Homestead Park\, Corner of Connemara Drive and Glenbrook Rd\, Thornlie. \nEvent Times: These are approximate event times\, and presentations will be at 12:05pm- Times to be confirmed \n\nYr 3 Girls 9:45am\nYr 3 Boys 10:00am\nYr 4 Girls 10:15am\nYr 4 Boys 10:30am\nYr 5 Girls 10:45am\nYr 5 Boys 11:00am\nYr 6 Girls 11:15am\nYr 6 Boys 11:30am\n\nThe events are scheduled to commence at 9:45 a.m.\, with the Year 3 girls\, followed by each subsequent race 15 minutes later\, concluding with the Year 6 boys at 11:30 a.m. Presentations begin at approximately 12:05pm. The Year 3 children run 900m\, the Year 4/5 children run 1400m\, and the Year 6 children run 1600m. \nThe children will be travelling by bus\, leaving from school at approximately 9:00am. \nAs the children are representing the school\, all children are required to wear the school interschool shirt\, which will be issued at the school\, and wear running shoes. Students will need to return the shirt on the day. No spikes allowed or running barefoot. Please bring a towel and other suitable clothing in case of wet weather. \nThere is now a code of conduct for students and parents. SUMMARY:Massed Choir Festival Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:Our first rehearsal for the Massed Choir Festival is Thursday 20th August 2026 at Churchlands Senior High School. This rehearsal is very important as it will be the first time all the choirs assemble together and hear both parts of each song. The cluster rehearsal also focuses on the actions for each song\, and students learn how to follow the conductor’s instructions during the performance. \nWe will leave school at precisely 8.30am. Students will take their recess\, and we will eat at Churchlands SHS after the rehearsal at 11.45am before returning to school by 1pm. Please pack all recess items in disposable bags and all items\, including water bottles\, must be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Students wear normal school uniform for this rehearsal.

The Department of Education covers the costs of swimming tuition\, and parents only pay for pool entry and bus transport. \nParents should also be aware that many high schools offer electives that require a level of swimming proficiency to participate. In primary school\, in-term swimming classes allow students to advance their swimming skills. \nDuring this time\, when we are very conscious of the cost of living expenses for families\, the school has rescheduled the Years 4 to 6 swimming program. Instead of students receiving two weeks of swimming\, one 40-minute session per day\, with 10 sessions in total\, we will have one group of students (two classes) receiving one week of swimming\, one 80-minute session per day\, with 5 sessions in total. A break can be provided for the students at the end of the first 40 minutes if required. SUMMARY:Massed Choir Concert 2026
DESCRIPTION:The final rehearsal will take place from 5:30 pm to 6:40 pm on the night of the performance\, Saturday\, 19th September. Students will be taken by bus from school\, departing at 4:15 p.m. Students must have eaten before getting on the bus. No food will be allowed. Labelled plastic water bottles are permitted. \nStudents must wear their Choir shirt\, vest\, black pants\, school jacket\, and black shoes. Hair must be tied back\, and makeup is not allowed. (Vests will be given out to students on Friday afternoon.) \nThere will be no return bus. Students need to be picked up by a parent at approximately 9:00 p.m. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. and is expected to conclude around 9:00 p.m. Following the concert\, students are taken backstage. Your child will be able to be picked up from the designated door after the concert; more information will follow.
