DESCRIPTION:The Department of Education has recently introduced greater flexibility for schools in scheduling Reporting to Parents meetings. Following consultation and planning\, Forest Crescent Primary School intends to utilise this flexibility to provide a dedicated day for parent meetings on Friday\, 31 July. \nPlease note that Friday\, 31 July\, will not operate as a regular school day. Similar to a School Development Day\, students will not attend school on this date\, and families will need to make alternative arrangements for their child/ren. \nThe purpose of this approach is to provide meaningful opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss student progress\, informed by Semester 1 written reports\, while also supporting manageable workload practices for staff. \nForest Crescent Primary will share further information with families regarding interview bookings and operational arrangements as the date approaches. \nFamilies who require care on this day may wish to access our Out of School Hours Care provider\, Camp Australia.

DESCRIPTION:The Uniform Shop offers a comprehensive range of new and second-hand clothing. The Uniform Shop is open from 8:15 am to 9:15 am. \nBlock 5 (see school map -click on INFORMATION tab) \nPlease remember the uniform shop is voluntarily run by parents (from the P&C). Order forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded from the school website (Click Here). Completed orders may be paid in the office and distributed to classrooms on a fortnightly basis. Parents can also order online through Flexischool. If you order via Flexischools online by noon on the Wednesday before these dates\, your order will be sent to your child’s classroom for pickup and taken home the following Thursday morning. You do not need to come in and collect online orders. Click on the link for more information about Flexischools online ordering. \nSECOND-HAND UNIFORMS\nVarious items and sizes are available for $2 to $5 each. All proceeds benefit the P&C. Please visit the Uniform Shop when it is open to view items or drop off any uniform donations at the front office.

DESCRIPTION:The Uniform Shop offers a comprehensive range of new and second-hand clothing. The Uniform Shop is open from 8:15 am to 9:15 am. \nBlock 5 (see school map -click on INFORMATION tab) \nPlease remember the uniform shop is voluntarily run by parents (from the P&C). Order forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded from the school website (Click Here). Completed orders may be paid in the office and distributed to classrooms on a fortnightly basis. Parents can also order online through Flexischool. If you order via Flexischools online by noon on the Wednesday before these dates\, your order will be sent to your child’s classroom for pickup and taken home the following Thursday morning. You do not need to come in and collect online orders. DESCRIPTION:Forest Crescent Primary is competing in the Interschool Cross Country. \nDate: Friday\, 14th August 2026 \nSchools: Campbell\, Forest Crescent\, Piara Waters\, Harrisdale\, Aspiri\, Southern Grove \nVenue: Homestead Park\, Corner of Connemara Drive and Glenbrook Rd\, Thornlie. \nEvent Times: These are approximate event times\, and presentations will be at 12:05pm- Times to be confirmed \n\nYr 3 Girls 9:45am\nYr 3 Boys 10:00am\nYr 4 Girls 10:15am\nYr 4 Boys 10:30am\nYr 5 Girls 10:45am\nYr 5 Boys 11:00am\nYr 6 Girls 11:15am\nYr 6 Boys 11:30am\n\nThe events are scheduled to commence at 9:45 a.m.\, with the Year 3 girls\, followed by each subsequent race 15 minutes later\, concluding with the Year 6 boys at 11:30 a.m. Presentations begin at approximately 12:05pm. The Year 3 children run 900m\, the Year 4/5 children run 1400m\, and the Year 6 children run 1600m. \nThe children will be travelling by bus\, leaving from school at approximately 9:00am. \nAs the children are representing the school\, all children are required to wear the school interschool shirt\, which will be issued at the school\, and wear running shoes. Students will need to return the shirt on the day. No spikes allowed or running barefoot. SUMMARY:Year 3 Scitech Excursion
DESCRIPTION:The Year 3 students in rooms 22\, 23\, and 24 will have the opportunity to visit Scitech during Week 5 of this term.  During the excursion\, students will have the opportunity to watch Science come alive through interactive demonstrations\, view a show in the Planetarium\, and have facilitated access to the feature exhibition. They will also have the chance to explore science concepts independently during free time in the general exhibition section. \nThe students will visit Scitech on Monday\, 17th August 2026. The bus will leave school by 8:45am\, and students will return at approximately 3:00pm. \nThe students will need to come dressed in a school uniform (no faction shirts) and closed shoes. They will also need to bring a bottle of water\, as well as recess and lunch.

SUMMARY:Massed Choir Festival Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:Our first rehearsal for the Massed Choir Festival is Thursday 20th August 2026 at Churchlands Senior High School. This rehearsal is very important as it will be the first time all the choirs assemble together and hear both parts of each song. The cluster rehearsal also focuses on the actions for each song\, and students learn how to follow the conductor’s instructions during the performance. \nWe will leave school at precisely 8.30am. Students will take their recess\, and we will eat at Churchlands SHS after the rehearsal at 11.45am before returning to school by 1pm. Please pack all recess items in disposable bags and all items\, including water bottles\, must be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Students wear normal school uniform for this rehearsal.
