SUMMARY:Year 2 Fremantle Prison Excursion
DESCRIPTION:To coincide with our Term 3 HASS focus\, Importance of the Past\, the Year 2s will be visiting the Fremantle Prison on Monday\, August 31st. Children will participate in a one-hour Historical Prison tour where they will explore the building and cells of Fremantle Prison and discover what life was like for a convict transported to the Swan River Colony. The tour guides provide an entertaining experience for the children as they discover how time was passed in the yards\, while marvelling at original prisoner works of art. \nWe will be leaving school at 9:00am and returning between 12.30-12.45pm. All students will need to wear their school uniform and closed-in shoes. Children will have their recess at Fremantle Prison before the tour commences at 10:30am. \nThey will need to take a hat\, water bottle and labelled recess in a zip-lock bag with them. Their school bags will stay at school\, and they will have their lunch when they return to school.

SUMMARY:Massed Choir Festival Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:Our first rehearsal for the Massed Choir Festival is Thursday 20th August 2026 at Churchlands Senior High School. This rehearsal is very important as it will be the first time all the choirs assemble together and hear both parts of each song. The cluster rehearsal also focuses on the actions for each song\, and students learn how to follow the conductor’s instructions during the performance. \nWe will leave school at precisely 8.30am. Students will take their recess\, and we will eat at Churchlands SHS after the rehearsal at 11.45am before returning to school by 1pm. Please pack all recess items in disposable bags and all items\, including water bottles\, must be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Students wear normal school uniform for this rehearsal.

DESCRIPTION:The Year 3 students in rooms 22\, 23\, and 24 will have the opportunity to visit Scitech during Week 5 of this term.  During the excursion\, students will have the opportunity to watch Science come alive through interactive demonstrations\, view a show in the Planetarium\, and have facilitated access to the feature exhibition. They will also have the chance to explore science concepts independently during free time in the general exhibition section. \nThe students will visit Scitech on Monday\, 17th August 2026. The bus will leave school by 8:45am\, and students will return at approximately 3:00pm. \nThe students will need to come dressed in a school uniform (no faction shirts) and closed shoes. SUMMARY:Uniform Shop Open
DESCRIPTION:The Uniform Shop offers a comprehensive range of new and second-hand clothing. The Uniform Shop is open from 8:15 am to 9:15 am. \nBlock 5 (see school map -click on INFORMATION tab) \nPlease remember the uniform shop is voluntarily run by parents (from the P&C). Order forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded from the school website (Click Here). Completed orders may be paid in the office and distributed to classrooms on a fortnightly basis. Parents can also order online through Flexischool. If you order via Flexischools online by noon on the Wednesday before these dates\, your order will be sent to your child’s classroom for pickup and taken home the following Thursday morning. You do not need to come in and collect online orders. Click on the link for more information about Flexischools online ordering. \nSECOND-HAND UNIFORMS\nVarious items and sizes are available for $2 to $5 each. All proceeds benefit the P&C. Please visit the Uniform Shop when it is open to view items or drop off any uniform donations at the front office.

SUMMARY:Winter Cup 2026
DESCRIPTION:Your child may be representing the school at the Vale School Sports Association Winter Carnival. \nIt will be held on Tuesday\, 23rd June. VENUES TO BE CONFIRMED. \nFootball\, Soccer and Flagbelt will be played at Sutherlands Park\, Gay Street\, Huntingdale. \nNetball will be played at the Langford Netball Centre\, Langford Avenue\, Langford. \nThere will be two buses for the Carnival. The buses will be leaving at approximately 8:40am\, and both will return at 2:30pm. \nYour child needs to wear the school uniform\, not their faction shirt. They should also bring a drink\, a hat\, sunscreen\, suitable footwear\, lunch\, and morning recess. All venues plan to start by 9:20 a.m. A code of conduct for students and parents is found on the right sidebar of the school website’s home page.
