DESCRIPTION:As part of our History (HASS) programme\, we have planned an excursion on Wednesday\, 11th June to the Fremantle Maritime and Fremantle Shipwrecks Museums. \nWe will be travelling by bus\, leaving the school at 9.00am and returning at approximately 2.45pm. \nAt the Museums\, the children will be involved in a variety of facilitated and self-guided experiences and will not be required to complete worksheets. \nAll children are expected to wear their school uniform\, including a hat\, and bring a packed recess and lunch\, with a drink\, in marked\, disposable containers. DESCRIPTION:2025 Cross Country Times\nAll students are to wear faction shirts tomorrow\, as it will make it much easier for us at the finish line.  A change of school clothes and a towel are also encouraged. Thank you for your support and encouragement of this event. \nYears 1 to 3 will run before recess\, with Years 4 – 6 to be run before lunch\, followed by the presentation.  (Due to the impending weather forecast\, the timetable has been amended. The next race will commence before the finish of the previous race\, with all races due to be concluded by 11.30am) If the rain commences before the carnival concludes\, incomplete races will be postponed until Wednesday\, 25 July. \nShould these times change\, a PA announcement will be made\, and a new timetable will be communicated. \nRecess will run as usual; however\, the Year 6 races will take place during this time. Year 6 students can have an extended recess from 11.40 am – 12.00pm supervised by their classroom teachers (if weather permits) \nEach event will be in Year Levels\, with boys’ and girls’ events run separately. The girls will run first. They will leave at approximately 8:40 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m. \nYour child must wear the school uniform\, not their faction shirt. DESCRIPTION:Kaarla Kaatijin means to ‘understand fire’ in the Noongar language. \nDrawing from creation stories in and around the Boorloo metropolitan area\, playwright Zac James draws on traditional knowledge and storytelling to introduce young audiences to stories about fire in an authentic and engaging way. \nKaarla Kaatijin explores the importance of fire\, spiritually and practically\, using Noongar Dreaming stories and language\, beautiful puppetry\, masks\, and music as young children experience stories in an engaging and joyful way. \nYirra Yaakin Theatre Company’s much-loved Kaatijin Series introduces our youngest audiences to caring for country\, environmental sustainability\, cultural awareness and what it means to be a strong\, centred individual learning about the world.

Students do not attend these days. Two of these days are before the school year starts for students\, and one day is after the school year ends for students.
