SUMMARY:Harmony Day Assembly 2026
DESCRIPTION:Harmony Day is on Saturday\, 21st March 2026. Australia is proud to be culturally diverse and celebrates Harmony Day every year\, where people of all cultures come together and spread the message that ‘everyone belongs’. \nThis year is the 27th time that Harmony Day will be celebrated across Australia. Harmony Day is a day when we can wear orange or our traditional dress that says\, ‘Together we will achieve great things\,’ and a day when we all show more than just respect for each other. It is a day for cultural recognition for all people who call Australia home. \nForest Crescent Primary’s Harmony Day Assembly will be held on Thursday\, 19th March. \nOn Thursday\, 19th March\, students can wear their National Costume or come dressed in orange to symbolise Harmony Day. This is not a Free Dress Day; only a national costume or orange should be worn. All other students are in school uniform as usual.  \nThe canteen has opened on Flexischools for Harmony Day lunches. The canteen will NOT have regular orders available on Thursday\, 19 March; only pre-orders will be available. Parents\, if you choose to order for yourself\, please order under your child’s name. ORDERS NEED TO BE IN BY SUNDAY EVENING\, 15/3/2026 \nParents are welcome to come and have lunch with their children (signing in at your child’s classroom) from 1.05 – 1.45 pm. Thank you to Mrs Rodricks for coordinating our Harmony Day activities\, Ms Britten and Ms Auld for teaching the whole-school song\, and Mrs Kimwatan and her helpers in the canteen. DESCRIPTION:Colour Run\nDear Parents and Caregivers\, \nAs you know\, Forest Crescent Primary School is again holding a fun run for the students as our major fundraiser this year. \nThis event will take place on Friday\, March 20th\, starting at 1:10 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend and watch. \n\nWhite shirt = water and colour will be sprayed\nBlack shirt = NO colour/water purposefully sprayed on child\nPlease speak with your teacher if you do not want your child to participate.\n\nAny clothes/shoes students wear for the run will be wet/coloured -send a towel/spare clothes as needed for your child. Little ones will be in their wet clothes till the bell\, so parents can assist if they wish to have them changed. \nEach student will also receive a pair of sunglasses. \nStudents will be covered in non-toxic\, biodegradable colour powder \nWe look forward to seeing the bright and colourful students on the day of our Colour Fun Run! \nChanged lunch with all Pre-primary to Year 6 students participating at different times in the afternoon. \nTIMES \nLunchtime\nYr 5/6 – Early lunch from 12:45pm. Students will be supervised while eating lunch from 12:45pm-1:00pm (students can change during this time). Afterwards\, the Year 5 & 6 students will be in the undercover area for a movie and activities. \nYrs 3/4  Lunch break for 3 -4 students. Lunch supervision 1.05pm – 1.20 pm. Students can then get changed. Lunch Play 1.20 – 1.40. The lunch siren will go slightly earlier at 1.40pm. Students line up at the entrance to the oval in class groups from 1.40 pm. \nYrs P/ 1 /2 – Lunch break for P / 1/ 2 students. Lunch supervision 1.05pm – 1.20 pm. Lunch Play 1.20 – 1.40. The lunch siren will go slightly earlier at 1.40pm. 1.40pm Back to class  – Students can then get changed \nRun times are:\n\nYears 5 and 6 – 1:10pm- 1:40pm Run\nYears 2\, 3 and 4 – 1:45pm- 2:15pm Run\nYears PP and 1 – 2:25pm-2:50pm Run\n\nGlasses \n\nColour glasses will be provided to class teachers before coming down.\nThere are no headbands this year.\nSpare glasses will be available if needed.\n\nIcy Poles \n\nThe P&C will provide an icy pole for students after the run.\nThese are fruit-based and will be given to class teachers to distribute back in class.\nParents will notify teachers if their child needs to opt out.\n\nOval Access \n\nThe oval will be out of bounds after recess to allow for event set-up.\nThere will be no student access to the oval at lunchtime.\n\nAfter the Run \nYear 5/6 \n\nStudents will return to the undercover area as they are the first group running.\n\nYear 2/3/4 \n\nClasses will gather in a designated area after completing the run.\n\nStudent Preparation \nStudents should: \n\nBring a towel\nWear a white shirt if they would like colour/water\nWear a black shirt if they prefer not to be sprayed intentionally (although some overspray may still occur)\n\nStudents Not Participating \nStudents who do not wish to participate will have access to giant games in a separate area away from the running track.

SUMMARY:Interschool Summer Cup 2026
DESCRIPTION:Students will be selected to represent the school at the Vale Sports Association Summer Cup Carnival. It will be held on Tuesday\, 24th March 2026. \nThe venues are; \n\nBasketball – Willetton Basketball Centre (Burrendah Blvd Willetton)\nVolleyball – Centenary Park\, Centenary Ave Wilson\nModcrosse – Centenary Park\, Centenary Ave Wilson\nFrisbee – Centenary Park\, Centenary Ave Wilson\n\nThere will be three buses providing transport for the carnival. \n\nThe volleyball team will leave at 8:20am.\nThe two buses for basketball\, frisbee\, cricket and sof-crosse will be leaving Forest Crescent at approximately 8:20am\, and all will return before the end of the school day.\n\nYour child must wear the school uniform shorts/ skorts/skirts (no black shorts)\, bring a drink\, a hat\, sunscreen\, suitable footwear\, and lunch and morning recess. Students will be provided with an interschool shirt or singlet (Basketball). It is essential that your child is at school by 8:00am to get their shirt signed out. They must also be returned at the end of the day\, as they are not to be taken home by students.  Each family signing out shirts is responsible for their safe return\, or is required to cover the replacement costs of $40. Students are not permitted to use coloured zinc. \nAll venues plan to start by 9:20 am. There is a code of conduct for students and parents. DESCRIPTION:School staff participate in six professional development days for up-skilling on school priorities\, data review and planning each year. Students do not attend these days. Two of these days are before the school year starts for students\, and one day is after the school year ends for students. DESCRIPTION:The Uniform Shop offers a comprehensive range of new and second-hand clothing. The Uniform Shop is open from 8:15 am to 9:15 am. \nBlock 5 (see school map -click on INFORMATION tab) \nPlease remember the uniform shop is voluntarily run by parents (from the P&C). Order forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded from the school website (Click Here). Completed orders may be paid in the office and distributed to classrooms on a fortnightly basis. Parents can also order online through Flexischool. If you order via Flexischools online by noon on the Wednesday before these dates\, your order will be sent to your child’s classroom for pickup and taken home the following Thursday morning. You do not need to come in and collect online orders. Click on the link for more information about Flexischools online ordering. \nSECOND-HAND UNIFORMS\nVarious items and sizes are available for $2 to $5 each. All proceeds benefit the P&C. Please visit the Uniform Shop when it is open to view items or drop off any uniform donations at the front office.
