DESCRIPTION:The Year 1 students have the opportunity to go on an excursion to the Constable Care Safety School in Maylands. \nStudents will experience the Safety School as pedestrians and cyclists and will learn and practice road and public transport safety skills in a simulated experiential learning environment. \nThe students will visit the Safety School\, by bus\, on the following date: \n\nThursday 9th May 2024\n\nThe bus will be leaving school at 8.30am and students will return to school at approximately 1.15pm. \nThere will be no cost for the excursion as we were successful in gaining a grant by Your Move and the Department of Transport.What to bring  \nStudents and parent helpers need to bring the following in a small backpack: \n\nsnack for morning tea\nwater bottle\nsun protective hat\nenclosed shoes\nschool uniform (clothes for adult helpers) suitable for riding bikes\nlong hair tied low to allow for helmets to be worn\n\nPlease note – school bags and lunches need to be left at your child’s classroom at school. \nParent helpers –Each class will require the assistance of 3 parent helpers. You will get a free bus ride there and back to school and you will need to be prepared to be involved (even in bike riding)\, so come prepared!

DESCRIPTION:Your child may be representing the school at the Vale School Sports Association Winter Carnival. \nIt will be held on Tuesday 5th June. VENUES TO BE CONFIRMED. \nFootball\, Soccer and Flagbelt will be played at Sutherlands Park\, Gay Street\, Huntingdale. \nNetball will be played at the Langford Netball Centre\, Langford Avenue\, Langford. \nThere will be two buses for the Carnival. The buses will be leaving at approximately 8:40am\, and both will return at 2:30pm. \nYour child needs to wear the school uniform\, not their faction shirt. They should also bring a drink\, a hat\, sunscreen\, suitable footwear\, lunch\, and morning recess. All venues plan to start by 9:20 a.m. A code of conduct for students and parents is found on the right sidebar of the school website’s home page. Please visit the school website to ensure you are familiar with both documents.
