Register your child for the Premier’s Reading Challenge, where stories come alive, reading becomes a shared joy, and weekly prizes can be won.

The challenge is not just about finishing books – it is about encouraging a love of reading. Plus, weekly prize draws add an exciting twist! Readers who complete the challenge will receive a special certificate of completion signed by the Premier.

Your child could be one of our lucky prize winners! Simply log their reading each week to go into a random draw for the chance to win.

The challenge runs from 23 March to 12 June 2026. To complete the challenge:

  • Kindergarten to Year 6 students read 12 or more books
  • Year 7 to 12 students read 6 or more books.

Prizes for participation

  • Students who log their reading each week automatically enter the draw to win a prize. We have more than 200 weekly prizes, including tech gadgets, book vouchers, and e-gift cards.The weekly prizes celebrate students’ efforts in the challenge and encourage them to continue improving their literacy skills and enjoyment of reading. The prizes are drawn at random from students who have logged their books.To be in the draw to win weekly prizes:

    It is easy, and with 12 weeks of the challenge, there are plenty of chances to win.
