In the final week of Term Three, our school celebrated Enviroweek with a special assembly. It was an opportunity to celebrate the many actions we take to minimise our negative impact on our environment. The music specialist, Ms Rebekah Smith, conducted the whole school in singing, ” Love Song to the Earth” with Room 5 and the children all showed their “It’s Our World” posters, during the chorus, that they had created in music sessions creating a sea of colour. The Wood Working Club displayed their bird boxes that they had been working on during their lunchtimes, under the tuition of Mr Jensen. The children were instructed to take their posters home and place them on the fridge to remind about the importance of caring for the Earth and living in a sustainable way.
