Bandanna Day is a special day to support young people aged 15–25 who are living with cancer. Each year, the charity, Canteen raises awareness and funds through the sale of colourful bandannas designed by youth ambassadors and Indigenous artists.
This year, our Year 5 student, Andrew, together with the Student Council, has chosen to lead our school’s Bandanna Day fundraising. Andrew’s sister, Sarah, has shown incredible strength while going through cancer treatment and chemotherapy– inspiring us all to get involved.
On Friday, 31 October, students and staff are invited to wear a bandanna and donate a gold coin. All money raised will go directly to Canteen to support young Australians affected by
cancer.
Let’s show our support and stand together for this important cause.
