On Tuesday 23rd November, thanks to our P & C renowned cyber-safety presenter Paul Litherland, an ex-police officer, we will be hosting a free Partnerships with Parents workshop about the increasingly complex and vitally important topic of cyber-safety commencing at 6.30pm in the undercover area.
This is a do not miss event for all parents!
Surf Online Safe (SOS) present a fully interactive and informative evening parent presentation. Our main goal is to help parents better understand our teens’ networks and systems and to help them grow online with their kids.
Communication is ultimately the key, however, Paul also offers some great tips and hints to help you maintain your sanity and peace of mind that your kids are doing what is expected of them. The workshop is approximately 90 minutes, after which a comprehensive question and answer session is held for those who would like more information. The sessions are very interactive and are very fun and enlightening. Parents can expect information about the threats to their child’s safety online, some practical strategies to make devices more cyber-safe, as well as ideas to help to educate and protect children in an online environment.
Our Year 5 and 6 students will participate in a student workshop with Paul during the day.
