An excursion has been organised for the students in Year 2 as part of the local history component of the Humanities and Social Sciences program this year. Students will compare how Australians lived over 100 years ago to today, including activities such as attending the school room, make-and-do and washboard hand-washing.
The children from;
- Room 26 will visit Wilkinson Homestead in Gosnells on Wednesday, 2nd May, leaving school at 9:15am and returning at 2:30pm.
- Room 10 will visit Wilkinson Homestead in Gosnells on Wednesday, 20th June, leaving school at 9:15am and returning at 2:30pm.
- Room 11 will visit Wilkinson Homestead in Gosnells on Wednesday, 27th June, leaving school at 9:15am and returning at 2:30pm.
The children will require recess, lunch and a water bottle. It needs to be packed in their lunchbox with their name clearly labelled. There are no facilities to buy food or drink and no money should be taken on the day. Students need to wear full school uniform, a sun safe hat and closed in shoes.
