We have been fortunate to be able to participate in a tree-planting project at Bannister Springs Farm near Bannister on Tuesday 28 July. Due to the travelling time the excursion must leave at 8.15am and won’t arrive back until 4.15pm (see timetable below).
This activity will provide students with the opportunity to help revegetate a degraded hilltop, see firsthand a working farm, as well as learn about indigenous culture in the Bannister area. Mr Bruce Ivers from Trees4Australia will be co-ordinating the tree planting and Mr David Collard, a Nyoongar elder will be facilitating the Nyoongar Experience.
The cost of the excursion is $20.
