Get ready to clear the way for a brighter future! Join us for the annual Forest Crescent Primary School Glasses Drive – a chance to donate your old glasses and help those in need through the Fred Hollows Foundation! ONE PERSON’S OLD GLASSES CAN BE ANOTHER PERSON’S NEW OUTLOOK ON LIFE!
The Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation has restored sight to more than 3 million people worldwide.
We continue the work of the late Professor Fred Hollows, a globally renowned eye surgeon who believed everyone should have access to high-quality, affordable eye care, no matter where they live.
We focus on preventable and treatable diseases such as cataracts, trachoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Our in-country work involves local?training?and providing affordable?technology so doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers can recognise, diagnose, refer, and treat eye problems in their communities. We use?research?to improve our understanding of avoidable blindness, then use our findings to implement strategies and?advocate?for change.
From humble beginnings, the Foundation now works in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and remote and underserved communities in Australia.
