The Interschool Cross Country Friday 16th August at Homestead Park (cnr Connemara Dve and Glenbrook Rd) Thornlie. The events are scheduled to commence at 10am, beginning with Year 3 girls and each race after beginning 10 minutes later, concluding with the Year 6 boys at 11.10am. Presentations begin at approximately 11.25am. The Year 3 children run 900m, Year 4/5 children run 1400m, and the Year 6 children run 1600m.
The children will be travelling by bus, leaving from school at approximately 9:00am.
As the children are representing the school, all children are required to wear the school cross country shirt, which will be issued at the school, and wear running shoes. No spikes allowed or running barefoot. Please bring a towel and other suitable clothing if wet weather is predicted.
Training for the event will occur with Mrs Spencer and Mrs Horan on Mondays at 7:45am (as a part of running club), and just the cross country team training on Thursday morning at 7:45am (with Mrs Spencer), beginning this week.
