The Order of Events for 2021
On the evening of the 8th December, we joined the students in celebrating the end of their school year for 2021, along with recognising individual performance through class book awards. We acknowledge things didn’t run that smooth due to trialling an intermission, and also, the students didn’t get full rehearsal time as the daytime temperature was nudging 41 degrees.
Book awards were presented to students who have displayed the following qualities throughout the year;
- Positive attitude towards school
- Citizenship qualities in the classroom
- Commitment to learning
This year, we also had two BeYou awards, which recognises a junior and senior primary student who has displayed kindness and empathy within the school community.
Mrs Lambert, our librarian, continues to source quality books for Presentation Night and ensures that teachers get their book awards in by the due date and spends a lot of her time creating the bookplates that go inside every book presented.
Photos of all the award recipients taken tonight will have the image emailed to the family email address on our current newsletter database.
The Forest Crescent PS school band performed for us, along with the Year 5 & 6 guitar ensemble performed for us.
The choir, led by Ms Britten, performed our opening songs “Take to the Sky” and “Times Like These.”
