On Wednesday, 5 November, the School Board will host our Annual Public Meeting. This is an opportunity for parents, carers, and members of the wider school community to learn more about our school’s governance and the role of the Board.
The Board has both an approval and an advisory role, but does not participate in the day-to-day running of the school, responsibility for which lies with the principal.
Good governance helps us to deliver positive outcomes for our students by ensuring that:
• School resources, including money and time, are used efficiently.
• The rules and policies, for example, dress code for students, are relevant to the school.
• The school’s priorities reflect the needs of our students.
• We focus our work on these priorities through effective relationships with parents and our community.
We expect to be calling for nominations to fill 2026 vacancies on the Forest Crescent Primary School Board early in the new year. If you are interested in learning more about the role of the Board and/ or being involved in the governance of our school, please join us on Wednesday ,5 November, as this is a perfect opportunity to see the School Board in action.
Annual Public Meeting: 7pm, Wednesday 5 November, in the Staffroom.
The Staffroom is located in the Administration building
