Dear Parents & Families.
The schedule is as follows: the students have to be in their classrooms by 5:45 pm. Band students to be on stage by 5:55 pm for their performance to start at 6:10 pm. Parents and families to be seated by 6:00 pm.
No Parking in the teacher’s carpark-reserved for staff only.
The official start to Presentation Night is 6:30 pm with our Head Boy, Bailey, and Head Girl, Lacey.
REMEMBER out of courtesy to others, the audience members who are sitting on blankets or low chairs (sand chairs-festival chairs) are to be situated closest to the bunting, with higher chairs moved to the back of the audience, or at least not blocking views of the audience members at ground level.
Toilets are open to parents and families in the Year 3 and Year 4 blocks, access through the gate near Room 22.
Toilets in the Year 1 block are reserved for teachers and students use only.
Smoking and the intake of alcohol is prohibited on all school sites for all staff, students and visitors. We would appreciate it if you do not smoke or consume alcohol on school grounds.
At the end of the evening’s program, students will return to their classrooms with their teachers. Parents can remain behind until all students have left the presentation area and are back inside the classrooms. Parents will then be able to collect their children from the classrooms.
As communicated in the newsletter, there will be a 10-minute intermission after the Year 2 students’ performance when Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 students can be collected from the Year 2 Block. The Pre-Primary & Year 1 students are to be collected from the Year 1 play area end of the Year 2 Block; the Year 2 students are to be collected from the Nature Play end of the Year 2 Block.
This is only for the parents who have made prior arrangements before collecting their child at intermission time. All children are to remain until the conclusion of this evening’s performance. The intermission is a trial for this year, dependant on cooperation between the school and the community.
After the Presentation Night’s events, we would appreciate any assistance with the packing up.
On this evening, we join the students in celebrating the end of their school year for 2020, along with recognising individual performance through class book awards.
Book awards are presented to students who have displayed the following qualities throughout the year;
- Positive attitude towards school
- Citizenship qualities in the classroom
- Commitment to learning
This year, we also have two BeYou awards, which recognises a junior and senior primary student who has displayed kindness and empathy within the school community.
Photos of all the award recipients taken tonight will have a download link emailed to the family email address on our current newsletter database.
You are welcome to film or take photos of the items. Please respect the privacy of our students and don’t upload to social media.
