Congratulations to all the outstanding students who proudly represented our school at the recent interschool athletics competition.
Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, giving their best efforts on both Tuesday at the jumps and throws and Friday at the carnival day. Our school exhibited incredible determination in a closely contested event, finishing just 68 points behind Harrisdale Primary in the overall standings. Considering this margin spread across 156 events, it truly highlights the commendable performance of our athletes. While we didn’t win the overall shield, we did win the Spirit Shield.
Special appreciation goes to our individual medal winners;
- Third Place Year 6 Girl Overall- Ivy R
- Champion Year 3 Boy Overall- Heath G
- Runner-Up Champion Year 3 Boy Overall- Brayden L
- Third Place Year 3 Girl Overall- Romana S
All of our athletes’ hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are immensely proud of your accomplishments.
A heartfelt thank you extends to Mrs. Horan, Miss Spencer, Mrs. Sellick, and all the classroom teachers who dedicated their time and effort to prepare our students for success. Your guidance and support played a crucial role in shaping our athletes. A special mention to Mrs Sellick, Miss Doran, Mrs Brown, Mrs Bransby (and her cooling fan), and Mrs Davies (scoring) for their tireless efforts on the athletics days and Mr Holmes for the early morning setup.
Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to an amazing group of parents – Tracey and Dwayne Stewart, Michelle Symes, John Tilbury, and Scott Jordan. Your support ensured that both days ran smoothly, creating a positive and memorable experience for everyone involved.
In the midst of strong competition and growing challenges, our school’s achievement is a testament to the resilience and dedication of our students, teachers, and parents. Let’s celebrate this success together and look forward to more victories in the future. Well done, team!
