To celebrate Science Week, the Year 6 students organised a science fair where students from Pre-primary to Year 5 were entertained by participating in the science inquiry process as they walked around visiting numerous science investigations. Each visiting student received a passport book, in which they wrote their predictions, wrote what happened, and then received an explanation from the Year 6 scientists as to why the investigation did what it did.

Each class group had thirty minutes to visit the science fair and managed to see at least three science investigations. When the classes returned back to their classroom they followed up with a sharing session. Some of the investigations were Lava Lamp, Static Electricity, simple acid-base reactions, Separation of Liquids, Forces Investigations, to name a few.

Students said that is really fun and quite fascinating to see how some type of materials react to other materials.
