Below are points to be discussed at the camp meeting. Please read carefully so that your child is fully prepared for camp. A copy of the camp timetable and the packing list is available below.

Camp Packing List Camp Timetable

  1. The camp is located at Woodman Point, Munster. Children will be sleeping in gender-based dorms of 4-6 students with adult supervision in each block of dormitories. Staff Attending – Heidi Virgin, Jessica Sandhu, Jacqui Davies, Jade Brown, Hannah Doran, Andy Holmes, Joan Craven and Debbie Kinsella.Parent- Mr Watkinson.
  2. There are to be absolutely no student mobile phones or iPads on camp. They will be confiscated and parents will be asked to come and collect the phone and your child. They are prohibited due to security reasons and social media access. If you need to contact your child in case of an emergency ONLY, please refer to the handout that was provided.                    
  3. Cameras are permitted, however, they need to be named or even engraved. iPads or phones cannot be used for cameras. Hair straighteners, hair dryers or other electrical appliances are not permitted due to health and safety reasons.
  4. The camp has strict rules and a Code of Conduct, which will be followed at all times. If your child breaks these rules you will be contacted and asked to come and collect the student immediately. A member of the camp staff will go through these with our students on arrival at camp.
  5. What to bring (refer to packing list which has been handed out to your child previously or is available on FCPS website- everything mentioned on the list is required.
  • Emphasis on older clothes, decent length shorts (to just above the knee) for girls especially for harnessing for roping activities.
  • T-Shirt or rashie for both boys and girls for all water activities, (No singlets) sunscreen and 2 hats (one sun-safe, the other a cap). They will not be allowed on the bus without a hat.
  • Girls must wear board shorts during water activities also.
  • Label everything down to undies etc. Toiletries
  • Bring pens, pencils etc.
  • Hand Sanitiser (Each student must provide their own hand sanitiser )
  • Don’t forget toothbrushes.
  • Chaffing cream, Aloe Vera after sun lotion
  • Pillowcase, bottom sheet and sleeping bag. Two towels, a beach towel and a bath towel.

       ***  Please keep it in a small bag/case as possible as there isn’t much space on the bus. One bag only, they can take their pillow. They may take a day pack as well for the bus, which carries their recess and lunch, water bottle and hat.

  1. Remember -Packed recess and lunch for Monday – with a water bottle.
  2. It is vital they have a water bottle or two, that is named, as all activities require they take one.
  3. Medication – must be clearly labelled and instructions written out and placed in a snaplock bag and handed to Jessica Sandhu on the morning of camp. Please do not pack medication in the student’s bags. This includes pain relief like Panadol or Nurofen.
  4. Activities- Many of the activities require closed in shoes, longer shorts and T-shirts, not singlets.
  5. Lollies- Not in excess, please. Students are permitted two smaller bags or 1 family size bag of lollies. Any other dietary questions please see Jacqui Davies.
  6. Movie Night- We will be showing a PG-rated movie. If you do not give permission for your child to see a movie with this rating, please inform Jacqui Davies. If you have any other queries regarding camp, please contact either Jacqui or Jessica at the school as soon as possible.
