Walk to School Day happened at Forest Crescent Primary today.
The students participated in a “Listening Walk”, which you can view in the video clip below. There was a large paper banner in the undercover area where participants could write or draw what they heard on their walk to school.
When the students arrived, they each received a sticker to wear for the day and then had a pre-ordered morning breakfast, courtesy of our canteen. Congratulations to Ms Jarvinen and her happy bunch of helpers for assisting with handing out the breakfast packs.
Ms Jarvinen also recorded each Walk2School participant, with Room 19 being the class that had the highest number of walkers. That class won a prize for their outstanding effort.
Ms Jarvinen wanted to thank all our families who walked to school this morning! It was fabulous to see you all excitedly recording what you heard along your way.
